About

I am a techno-geek. I have been getting more involved in politics in my dotage (I just turned 35 in July 2006). I am sick of the way the government is becoming more and more intrusive in our lives, and I am doing what I can to try to stem the tide. I started out as a bleeding heart liberal in my 20’s, and got sick of them with their socialist bent and trying to expand government everywhere. I was for their liberal attitudes toward social issues, but couldn’t stand the way they want to regulate everything and use the government as a wealth redistribution entity. I then moved to the republicans in the “W” era, and got sick of them with their totalitarian bent, they wanted to both grow government to control and grow their special interests, and have government control social issues as well, pushing their conservative moral agenda upon everyone. Neither party left a good taste in the mouth, although I think the dems are currently slightly less bitter. I have since progressed to the libertarians, with their ideals of a small, unobtrusive government. While I disagree with a couple of minor issues, on the whole I agree with their policies.
