Novak, 48, was formally arraigned yesterday. She could not be reached for comment last night.
During an earlier interview with NBC-12, she insisted that she was a good mother and said the trunk transport was the kids’ idea because they didn’t want to sit on each other’s lap in the car.
“I know it was a bad decision,” she said.
Ok, I don’t know about you, but I remember doing things at least this bad when I was a kid. Riding in the back of pickup trucks, while standing, comes to mind. This is more government meddling into areas where they don’t belong. Ok, yes, this woman probably did put her kids at an increased risk of being injured if they got into an accident, but you know what, those are her kids. If it had been someone else’s kids in the trunk that would be a different story. Furthermore, the kids were probably having a blast riding in the trunk, what 13 year old boy wouldn’t? Hopefully they won’t be stupid and convict this woman of anything or try to take her kids away.
