Reason is someone I’ve been reading for quite some time, ever since I started looking into healthy life extension. He is also a big time libertarian. He is of the belief that private funding for research will be much more effective and efficient than any public funding, as long as we can keep the FDA out of everyone’s hair, and I am of the same opinion. Now, I don’t know what this kid was pursuing as treatment for his illness, but it is none of my, or anyone elses (except his parents as he is still considered not an adult, although I would debate that) business. It now appears that if you don’t choose the treatment currently advocated by the state for an illness, they will try to shove it down your throat. How nice.

A hundred years ago this kid would have been considered an adult, and could have done what he damn well pleased with his life.
